365 Letters to Myself

April 16th - Generalize conversations...

It feels more and more like we need to have conversations that do not generalize but offer an exchange of accurate information and consideration of independent thoughts. Less chatter that is making statements for all, playing to group think and political agendas.

I will not deny, I may be guilty of oversimplifying myself. If I push myself to describe why my assertions are ok, not a hypocritical act, I ask – what is my motive? I answer, usually I am coming from not ego but a place to honor morals, decency, and values of truth, individuality, integrity, fairness, etc. and I incorporate what is my common sense. Others don’t have to share my point of view, but I would like us to agree upon the sources feeding into arriving at it.

We are in a climate where this is at peak levels of ‘not happening’. Instead, there’s the changing or selective communication of facts. There is name calling, shaming, divisions and so much more if dare to challenge. But, a glimmer of hope, questioning and speaking out appeared where I did not expect. Restoring my faith that we are more alike in what matters to us, less what’s being forced upon us. Time to say it out loud, rather than stay silent.

Experiments are anchored by a control group.

Hmmm, leave out so much…day 256!

Thank you if you choose to join the journey. Let's hope it is more fun than tears!
