365 Letters to Myself

February 2nd - Birthday wishes...

My youngest, 29 years ago, woke me this day with a startling kick from within. Ironic, perhaps on a day that saw our state dehumanize life in the womb. No matter what position people take on the controversial issue of ‘rights’ – what I will refuse to accept in anyway the idea that a baby in the womb is not a living being.

Believing that my 3rd pregnancy was going to be my last, the concern that everything was going to be alright, wanting the health of this precious child, a ‘smooth’ delivery was eased and I was able to relax, embrace the miracle of the process and all moments, milestones. How amazing God is and what a woman’s body is capable of.

Not sure how much the demeaner of a mother makes on her baby, but he was my most carefree, happy child. Lots of smiles! Grown up, he is the one that tries so hard to do/be everything ‘right’ and his efforts are rewarding him greatly. Feeling so blessed for the gift of motherhood and celebrating his life this day!

The breath of life from a spirit beyond any imagination.

Hmmm, to honor you…day 192!

Thank you if you choose to join the journey. Let's hope it is more fun than tears!
