Big Stage, Little Stage
It is quite interesting to me when getting caught up in all that is happening ‘on the big stage’ of life, how I must manage my empath tendencies. When I go to unpack what triggers are being pulled, I usually need to look no further than the ‘little stage’ that is my day to day.
If one is open to evaluating current events, perhaps labeling them – I speculate you can see consistent themes of interpretation, justice, brokenness, closed minds, greed - to name some. Each in its own way is consuming and destructive for wellbeing, progress and a presence of love. As I can’t help but engage in a mixture of my own feelings about such observations, I pause in empathy for truth and our republic, identifying how all is playing out as well for me personally.
Wouldn’t it be nice to stop the deliberate misrepresenting, for justice to be duly served, brokenness mended, minds opened to individual thought and self-service in check - the acceptance there are some universal truths to embrace together. I can envision the difference adaptation of such might play out, the pivot it could bring, for the greater common good. But it seems overwhelmingly elusive at times globally, nationally, and close to home. Metaphorically, I question, or better yet am visualizing – set changes are fascinating from creation to implementation to positioning the next scene. Is there one I could work on for my little stage? Have we missed something, need to take another look, at the big stage?
Hmmm, same play playing out, 308!
Thank you if you choose to join the journey. A better life, a better way.
