January 11th - Graduating class of 83...
It is nice to have been from a graduating class of approximately 230. Feel very fortunate that dad and mom saw to us going to private schools, that were a capacity where you were able to ‘know’ just about everyone.
For what ever reasons, my class, though we ‘like’ reunions, getting attendance commitment is not an easy task. Our 35th, the worst yet and when you are trying to plan food, space, etc. the desire to be spontaneous messes with the process. Through the years we seem to have better luck, and unfortunately a smaller turnout, if we suggest a happy hour / get together short notice.
With a classmate recently purchasing a restaurant/bar, for these first few months of 2023, it’s been put out there…once a month, if you can gather, please do and spread the word to broaden the circle. I was able to attend last night – a varied group of about a dozen or so of us. It was special, truly. People you spent all your time with over 40 years ago, and the ease of chatting it up, the genuine interest in what each other is doing, the hugs, the memories, the laughs – is a real blessing and gift to be treasured!
How interesting to both step back in time and be present in it!
Hmmm, doing it their own way…day 173!
Thank you if you choose to join the journey. Let's hope it is more fun than tears!
