September 8th, Royal Romance...
I cannot deny the statement that “every girl romanticizes princesses and queens”. Though I am not what I call a ‘girly, girl’ – with start struck aspirations of being one – I am fascinated by and admire deeply the monarchy. And I have enjoyed watching how much my granddaughters marvel at and play princesses and queen.... perhaps, I have buried the desire a bit.
I am of the belief; this life of royalty is as difficult as it appears to be magical. We as a world can keep fighting against hierarchy but there is a reality that it will always exist in some form. My interpretation of the pluses is around the honoring of positions, traditions, values. There is a code of appropriate behavior, politeness, service and loyalty. Today is such a significant loss – as we reflect upon 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II. Appropriately, once in a lifetime! I am in awe, somewhat at a loss for words that are worthy.
Hmmm, long live the Queen, always…day 55!
