December 23rd, Bundle UP...
A not-so-great part of these last few days before Christmas… it is cold and blustery. To listen to the news, you’d think that we don’t get cold in winter, this is NOT possible, disastrous. Some of this is true – it is inconvenient, it is not a every year occurrence and the disruption to travels most unfortunate BUT – it is winter, and it does happen. This year though too much of the country.
The sad thing, cancellations. We were going to attend a play, an orchestra concert – beautiful ways to celebrate the season, generously arranged by my daughter in law. A dinner with out-of-town friends tonight – postponed. Could we not have toughed it out or is it the right decision – in the name of safety?
Looking at the positive side – It is quite pretty how the snow has decorated the trees. I love sitting by a fire, I am going to watch Peanuts Christmas and It’s A Wonderful Life, I am very grateful to be in my warm, decorated home.
Look inward in the face of challenges to our expectations and choose.
