November 3rd, Tear down...
Thinking about how in play ‘tearing down another, to lift yourself up’ is, especially in the political season upon us. Metaphorically, we do it with buildings, houses – sometimes for the better and sometimes simply to meet our own agenda. Better - can be in the eye of the beholder or absolutely necessary. Meeting an agenda – rooted in what we want for ourselves and can bring a positive or negative affect if consider the greater good.
It has been a brutal election season – just horrific tearing apart in the crusade for power. I am passionate about a certain outcome but saddened at the process. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was pursuit of giving our best, and then faith in what is meant to be, will be the outcome. Instead, manipulation and self-interests are likely to continue as the norm. At the expense of tearing down someone, something.
