October 31st, Live a great story...
In the back of a car window was the sticker “Live a great story”.
A message – an opportunity? I pause. Then start thinking, can I say I am living a great story? My initial response is yes… if told from 1st person, by the experiences that fill my life, the gratitude I feel. More curious though, as I start to wonder about how my story would be told in 3rd person, would it affect others, they find it interesting.
What makes a great story – a likeable, engaging, relatable main character? Supported by heroes and villains? Compelling content that builds to a climax and rewarding resolution? Memorable scenery/scenes?
I believe, a great story is meaningful, impactful – something is learned, becomes a part of the reader, remembered forever – may even want to read it over again. In my typical fashion, I may need to reflect and though cannot do any rewrites, be more thoughtful on what will be written.
Hmmm, life is not a draft…day 107!
