365 Letters to Myself

Fifty-five and subtracting

Just like that, a year has passed. My last post filled with energy, enthusiasm, promise and all, not to be realized at least through the goal of completing these 365 letters. So here we sit at 55 and subtracting. I would love to say I am committed to complete them by… but I hesitate to once again fail to meet a goal, live up to my word, a written word in fact. It is curious to me what gets in my way. My intentions are well meant and my integrity to be preserved but then nothing. It’s like the New Year’s work I did… this too has been stalled. What is going on with me? Easy to say life – but too convenient, a terrible excuse. I can attempt to be patient with myself, give grace, suggest timing was not aligned. Seems like I am trying to justify a lack of discipline, unplanned choices taking over. At least I am here, now… ready to give it another run. My writing needs to be stimulated for a project to be fulfilled. An important piece of work that is meant to heal and if done right inspire, be meaningful and impactful to all that engage with it.

Subtract one.

Hmmm, on to fifty-four... 311!
