365 Letters to Myself

December 18th, Never give up..

There is a reason for 60 minutes, four quarters, 2 halves…the game is not over until the last second has ticked off the clock. One for the record books – and so many missing it because they gave up.

I tend to be one to believe it ain’t over until time has run out. Yesterday the Vikings, who were being whooped at half, never gave up and made a historical comeback. I was disappointed, the defensive backs looked terrible, the offensive line pathetic – but when my husband said out loud it was over at halftime, I said, “If Indy could do this in one half, why can’t ‘we’?” Not going to say I was all in, but I kept it on and watched with increasing belief the win could happen. Primarily glad they were making a game of it, displaying the character to keep playing hard.

Never giving up was rewarded with a HUGE win, a lot of excited fans and conversations about working, believing until it is, actually, over.

“Thinking the cost of never giving up is a better investment than the price of doing so.”

Hmmm, play to the end…day 154!

Thank you if you choose to join the journey. Let's hope it is more fun than tears!
